Escalation of violence in Israel and Palestine

Horyzon is shocked by the current events in the Middle East and calls on all parties to the conflict to end all violence immediately. Together with 13 other Swiss organisations, Horyzon is advocating a human rights-based approach to the Middle East conflict within the "Forum for Human Rights in Israel / Palestine". The Forum has published two statements (german only), both also supported by Horyzon: A statement on the current escalation of violence (post dated 12.10.2023) and a statement on the role of Switzerland in the war Israel / Palestine (post dated 27.10.2023).

Horyzon stands in solidarity with the people in Israel and Palestine and is concerned for friends and employees who currently have to fear for their lives and families. With projects in various countries, Horyzon has been committed to the issue of socio-political education for over 50 years, including in Palestine.
